Between 1914 and 1918, the years of the Great War, the vicar of St Paul's kept a parish journal.
Excerpts from those journals have been put together especially for this concert to help us tell a fascinating story. These excerpts will be read by the current Vicar of St Pauls, Fr Alan Gyle.
The story we will tell is of life in London, centred on St Paul’s, set against the backdrop of the First World War.
The BAM Consort and The BAM Ensemble, conducted by Hugh Brunt, will perform a range of stunning British music, old and new, bringing to life our story as it unfolds.
“Music is an outburst of the soul.” Frederick Delius
